Beto Bastos has a degree in Business Administration, but has been interested in the Arts since his childhood. He believes he inherited his artistic talents from his grandfather who could draw and sculpt like a pro. As a child, Beto Bastos developed his artistic side by creating pieces and giving them out to friends as birthday gifts. Over time, he developed greater interest in creating art using E.V.A. As a self-taught artist, he started experimenting with many techniques and fashioned many pieces that revealed his great promise and talent.  Right after graduating from college, Beto Bastos worked in public service for his home state of Bahia for a couple of years. However, by mid 2006, the artist emerged again. Now after learning from his academic, professional and life experiences, Beto reveals his entrepreneurship by creating  an Art Studio. The “Atelie de Arte” is a business venture that offers a variety of products made of the multifaceted rubber-like material E.V.A.
